In compliance with the ICANN Expired Registration Recovery Policy (ERRP), Cloudoora provides full transparency regarding domain expiration timelines, renewal notifications, applicable fees, and redemption procedures. This policy primarily refers to generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) such as .com, unless otherwise stated.
2. Domain Expiration Timeline and Recovery
Upon expiration, domain names follow a predefined life cycle. Cloudoora sends at least five renewal reminders to the Registered Name Holder before the expiration date.
Day From Expiration
Status & Actions
Day 0
Domain expires. Registrant can manually renew at the standard renewal fee without additional cost for the next 30 days.
Day 26
Domain may enter auction. Registrant can still manually renew at the standard renewal fee.
Day 31
If there are no bids, the domain remains renewable at the standard fee plus a redemption fee. If there is an active bid, the domain is removed from the registrant’s account and cannot be renewed.
Day 37
Domain enters final closeout auction. If there is no pending purchase, registrant may still renew for standard fee + redemption fee. Once purchased, the domain cannot be renewed.
Day 41
Final auction ends. If unsold, the domain may still be renewed (standard + redemption fee).
Day 74
Domain is permanently removed from registrant’s account. Renewal is no longer possible. The name may become available for general registration at a future date.
3. Redemption Fees
Redemption fees vary depending on the TLD and are added to the standard renewal fee and applicable VAT:
.com: €80 EURO + renewal + VAT
.com.co: €180 EURO + renewal + VAT
.frl: €150 EURO + renewal + VAT
.store / .ws: €120 EURO + renewal + VAT
Fees are subject to change in accordance with the Domain Name Registration Agreement.
Note: Some country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) such as .ru, .dk, .hu, .nu, .pl, and .se do not offer a Redemption Grace Period.
4. Grace Period for .com Domains
If your .com domain is registered via Cloudoora through registrars such as Openprovider, Realtime Register B.V., or others, you will receive a 10-day Renewal Grace Period post-expiration. During this window, you can renew the domain at the standard renewal fee without incurring redemption fees.
Failure to renew within the grace period may result in the domain being deleted or acquired by a third party.
To attempt restoration after the 10-day grace period, please contact Cloudoora Support to determine restoration eligibility.
5. Expiration Handling Process
The exact expiration recovery process depends on your domain’s TLD and renewal settings.
If set to auto-renew, Cloudoora will attempt to renew the domain 27 days before expiration.
If set to manual renewal, reminders will be sent before and after expiration.
For .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, .name, .mobi: Cloudoora will hold expired domains for approximately 60–70 days prior to deletion.
6. Manual vs. Automatic Renewal
Automatic Renewal
Cloudoora will attempt to process the renewal 27 days before the expiration date if auto-renew is enabled.
Manual Renewal
If auto-renew is disabled:
On Day 0, the domain expires. Cloudoora notifies the registrant and allows manual renewal at the standard fee.
By Day 31, if not renewed, the domain becomes subject to a redemption fee.
On Day 74, the domain and all associated services are permanently deleted.
Note: The registry may retain the domain name beyond this point before releasing it for public registration.
